This redesign, unveiled in March 2025, modernises the iconic symbol while retaining its core identity and values.
- In the heart of South Africa, where the pulse of our agricultural heritage beats strong. There lies a force that drives the future of animal recording, breeding, genetic and genomic advancement. This force is SA Stud Book, the heartbeat of the South African livestock industry.
- The sustainable use of natural resources is one of the world’s greatest challenges, particularly in sensitive ecosystems. One of them is the Maputaland Coastal Plain. It stands out as a landscape of extraordinary significance. To safeguard the region’s future, agricultural practices must adapt to become resilient against irregular rainfall and droughts. The ARC launched special projects to achieve this.
- The South African Society for Animal Science (SASAS) Northern Branch hosted their annual Student Industry Day on 10 April 2025. The event was held at the Groenkloof campus of the University of Pretoria. Students from the universities of North-West, Pretoria, Venda, Limpopo and Tompi Seleka College of Agriculture attended this exclusive event. Experts provided career advice and top employers could scout newcomers to the industry. Students could also catch a glimpse of what the various sectors in animal science entail, discover what sparks their interest and hear from keynote speakers.
- Die 2025 Bloemskou het op Saterdag 3 Mei ten einde geloop. Organiseerders meen dit was ’n besonderse geleentheid ter viering van 142 jaar in die skoubedryf. Bloemskou is een van die gewildste en grootste skoue in Suid-Afrika, en bied ’n groot finansiële en ekonomiese inspuiting vir die stad en streek. Die landbouprogram was propvol met ‘n hele 22 kampioenskappe en 5 759 diere wat deelgeneem het.
