The Agri X Fusion Red Meat Value Chain Collaboration Summit will take place on 20 and 21 October 2026 at Silver Lakes Golf Club, Pretoria. The summit was originally scheduled for 15 and 16 September 2026. However, the revised dates will enable broader participation by key industry, academic, and strategic partners, and provide additional time to strengthen the programme and collaboration opportunities.
Agri X Fusion is designed to be more than a conference. It provides a practical platform connecting industry, academia, research institutions, government, financiers, investors, and technology providers around the challenges, opportunities and future competitiveness of South Africa’s red meat value chain.
Insightful discussions planned for day one
Day one will focus on three high-level panel discussions:
- Competitiveness and industry preparedness: This discussion examines the factors affecting the industry’s resilience, competitiveness, and ability to respond to emerging challenges.
- Market access, export and inclusive growth: This discussion will explore opportunities to expand markets and exports while ensuring broader participation and growth across the value chain.
- Future sustainability, climate impact and financing: This topic will drive discussions on how climate-related risks, sustainability requirements, investment, and innovative financing will shape the sector’s future.
The discussions promise to raise important insights and identify the challenges that require greater collaboration, research, innovation, and investment. The summit will create opportunities for participants to engage directly with industry leaders, researchers, financiers, technology providers and other stakeholders, with the emphasis on turning discussion into ongoing collaboration and practical opportunities.
