Snywurms, wat veral jong gesaaides aanval, het natuurlike vyande soos voëls, parasitiese wespes en selfs meerkatte. Dit is egter nie genoeg vir ekonomiese beheer nie. Antonie Botes van AECI Plant Health gee raad in Woensdag se aflewering van RSG Landbou. Hy verduidelik ook waarom daar die afgelope drie seisoene so baie gevalle van swak snywurmbeheer gerapporteer is.
Die varkbedryf het vanjaar omtrent 20 000 sôe verloor maar dié bedryf bly innoverend en positief oor hul toekoms. RSG Landbou het onlangs tydens ‘n mediadag met Johann Kotzé van die SA Varkvleisprodusente-organisasie gesels.
