Hendrik Schönfelder has recently been appointed as President – Middle East & Africa (MEA) of Evonik. This news follows the merger of the former regions Sub-Sahara Africa, the Middle East, and North Africa into one regional platform.

After obtaining his doctorate in chemical engineering from Technical University Hamburg, Hendrik Schönfelder began his professional career with BASF in 1995. In 2013, Schönfelder joined Evonik in Germany.

“I have worked on several projects in my career that covered the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and developed a special affinity for the region,” said Schönfelder. “MEA is definitely a region that will witness substantial growth in the future,” Schönfelder added. –Press release
