JH Neethling van Rooikoppies Holsteins het SA Stamboek se Nasionale Elite Genetiese Suiwelkudde van die Jaar-toekenning ontvang vir die stoetkudde wat beskik oor van die heel beste genetika in die land. Plaas TV het onlangs by die Neethlings gaan kuier, en Thalia Brameld van SA Stamboek het uitgevind wat dié boerdery se suksesresep is.
Die werk van ’n Logix tegniese adviseur is beide vervullend en uitdagend, maar soos die gesegde lui, ‘n storie het twee kante. Plaas TV het saam met Thalia Brameld van SA Stamboek by Rooikoppies-boerdery gaan inloer om te sien hoe bring Logix die data en werklikheid bymekaar.
Sybokhaar in Suid-Afrika word hoofsaaklik ekstensief geproduseer, in die suidoostelike en westelike gebiede van die land. Fred Colborne van FEC Farming het ten spyte van die uitmergelende droogte in die Grootriviervallei van Willowmore, groot sukskes behaal met sy kleinbokkiehaar. Plaas TV het by hom gaan aanklop om meer hieroor uit te vind.
The first ever PigX was recently hosted by SAPPO at Future Africa in Pretoria. This event is a Ted Talk-inspired presentation model and the programme featured an exciting line-up of local and international speakers. Plaas TV got to talk to a few of these speakers, as well as some of the attending farmers about the value of events like these.

The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Southern Africa conference is the largest fresh produce conference and trade show. The 2023 conference recently took place at Cape Town’s Century City. The attendees enjoyed a variety of new networking and education opportunities as they gained first-hand insights into global trends and business opportunities in the produce industry. The Plaas TV team also attended the event and met up with some industry role-players.
