The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) recently held their first in-person Fresh Solutions event for 2022. The day was hailed as informative and interesting and provided the opportunity for role-players in the industry to build their networks.

Greg Whitaker, founder and CEO of AgrigateOne, led the keynote address and spoke to attendees about how data can drive better decision-making and control in the supply chain.
The keynote address was followed by a panel discussion led by Dr Johnny van der Merwe, an economist and lecturer at North-West University. Panellists joining him was Willie Jacobs, CEO of Potatoes SA (PSA), CT van der Merwe, CEO of AL 3 Boerdery, and Matome Ramokgopa, general manager of Enza Zaden.
They discussed the future of the vegetable industry in South Africa (SA). The panel discussion was followed by a question and answer session between the panellists and attendees.
