Agbiz Grain is an association of 12 storage operators that are active in the South African market. Our members handle and store 70% of the grain and oilseeds produced and are the owners of 98% of all JSE-registered sites. Agbiz Grain play a significant role in the functioning of the market and create an environment in which the storage sector can thrive, expand and be competitive. The focus is now on the recovery of our economy as the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian-Russian conflict starts to fade. The symposium is taking place 5 – 8 September and will include panel discussions on profitability and investment priorities, supporting a world-class agricultural derivatives market, traceability of grains and oilseeds to meet consumer food safety concerns, and ensuring the insurability of the sector.
